I am curious as to how one would measure the PSI in the field? You would need to know how many square inches of contact you have with your hand.
The other issue would be the strength of the rib cage. The smaller, more flexible infant ribcage would achieve the desired results with a much smaller PSI than the ribcage of an adult with heavily calcified bones. How would you determine the forced needed in the field?
As a CPR instructor myself, I can understand your curiosity, but I cannot see this as being helpful information. It would just be another number that really does not mean anything and we cannot afford to give the students anything that would possibly confuse them in their tasks.
The compression ranges seem to me to be a perfectly useful tool without telling people such ‘engineering’ info like the PSI needed.

How much do you think a lifeguard should get paid?? I’m applying for lifeguarding jobs and I’ve already gotten a job offer but I do not like the pay (9,24$/hour) my old instructor told me that it should be somewhere around 11$/hour. I have 5 certifications (Standard First Aid, AED certified, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Nationals)
Do you know how much you should get paid? If you have any experience in being a lifeguard how much did you get paid per hour??

in august i had a pacemaker/defibrillator installed, which i had problems with. in october, i had surgury to replace the faulty pacemaker. last week i recieved a notice stating what were the malfunctions and risk of the device. my doctor told me, that not only was the divice faulty, but the never removed it, instead the just added another. she then told me i have a major lawsuit on my hands, and i can sue for alot of money. i called a lawyer, which told me that i can do a “double suit,” and that this is a definate win. so my question is, how much should i sue for?
