His wife just had some heart attack type thing which they had to put a permanent defibrillator in her for (i was shown the scar). The business runs itself almost completely, the owner only has to restock inventory and do the deposits once each day (2 smoothie bars in the gyms on an air force base). They want to slow down and take things easy for her heart and to pay off a lot of personal debts to help them just slow down. Does that make any sense? I mean, going to a store every night at 7 pm to pick up money, and inventory randomly throughout the week, I imagine theres a minimum of 10 hours of work done each week, and a max of 20, so why would anyone sell that?
They also are not able to produce a tax return/income statement because they haven’t owned it more than a year, but they paid $30K and are asking $45K, it was one smoothie place, but in the past 3 months they opened the second one. Fully staffed, franchise with low fee’s and full flexibility to add to the menu (just can’t subtract). It sounds awesome, but almost to good to be true. I was able to look over 2 huge books of receipts for all the months they’ve been open all the way to this October, and it really looks like they average $500 a day in sales.
$15,000 in sales a month, $500 rent (air force base), $395 franchise fee’s, $3600 employee wages. The lowest days I saw were $200 days, so on that could lead to a break even some months.
Any opinions would be great before spending $45K on something. Maybe they haven’t paid their tax’s and I’d be stuck paying like $15K worth of tax’s this coming april??

Then I started running, they chased me, shouting, swearing at me and yelling, but i got away. Anyway, i forgot about the incident. Today one of those big guys saw me walking in the street, he started yelling. the moment i saw him, i started bolting, he yelled to me to stop and that he would find me and send me to the hospital. Anyway i got away from him. But i’m really scared to go out, wat do i do?

I am a sixteen-year-old who has begun a great babysitting business.
I am a volunteer at the YMCA daycare, with over a hundred hours under my belt.
I have CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
I have a First Aid Kit that will be brought with me to each home.
I am an in-home sitter.
I have invested a lot of money into this business, trying to show people that there are better sitters out there than bored teenagers that need some money and will sit your kid in front of a TV and text all day.
I have a lot of activity ideas and I am very interactive with the children.
I usually price per family, whatever is suitable for them, usually by asking what will best fit their budget.
This client I am asking about, I will do the same with, but I want a little insight about price before I iron out the details with her tomorrow over the paperwork.
She has two boys that I will sit on weekends at night.
One is four and one is eight.
Very high-strung but obedient when you get to know them and they grow to respect you.
She is middle-class, by the way she talks about her home life, she is doing pretty well. Kind of, average middle-class family these days I would say.
What does the Yahoo Answers community think the wage I will be looking at will be?
Just out of curiosity, and because I would hate to ask her what kind of price she is looking at and have her over-pay me.
Thanks for your insight.

Hi, i’m looking for a place to live in Dubai, i have just signed a contract with my new company and they are offering me 5000 AED per month as a housing allowance. I am a 20 year old Lebanese bachelor. My question is the following: a lot of people are asking for a deposit, or at least they want me to pay for each 6 months in advance, so will my company do this or will they just give me the money monthly and i should find a person that accepts to get paid monthly? Thanks…

We moved all the way across the country to be next to my little brother. He welcomed us to come. He is in his 30s and already has a pace maker and defibrillator. I was so worried about him. We sold our house and moved. But now 2 yrs later he seems to not like me or my family. He is VERY materialistic so is his wife and daughter.
They love to make fun of my family. They are very crude and will run us down for stuff like not buying a new car every two years.(ours is paid for and in perfect condition) We have lost alot of money on this move and have not done well here at all.
The only time he comes around is when he wants something.
He has parties all the time and does not invite us.:( He invites my mother and stepdad, and of cource they go and dont even give us a second thought..My own mother does not even stick up for me.
My heart is breaking. Daily it gets harder and harder for me to pray for them and me. I am very close to saying that I hate them all because it hurts my heart so much. But I dont want that sin on my head. I dont want to set a bad example for my children.
Please give me some advice on how to deal. Please dont be cruel in your answers. I am looking for a peaceful way to deal with this.
Thank You and God bless
