Salary Expectation For Relocating To Abu Dhabi?

I have recently been offered a vacancy in Abu Dhabi and have been asked my “Expected Salary”. Staying in India and trying to take a wild guess is a difficult decision. Can anyone help me what should be the expected salary in AED (for a job based in Abu Dhabi) if i am considering Rs 600,000 per annum for a next job if based in India? (of’course a simple currency conversion wouldn’t work). And yes i hear accomodation there is very expensive.

Is it possible to find a nice 2-br apartment for under, say, 80,000 AED within commuting distance of Abu Dhabi? I have a salary offer of 240,000, which unfortunately doesn’t include housing. My wife and I have a son (age 5) and daughter (age 2 months). We aren’t particularly fussy people – as long as the place is comfortable, and my son can go to a reasonable school, we’d be happy.
I get the feeling that living in AD can be done, providing you’re happy not to eat out all the time, and you’re willing to buy local produce. Or am I being naive? Surely not everyone is on oil company salaries and benefits…

Dear All, what’s the cost of living in Dubai / DIC / or Abu Dhabi region for a family of 5 (myself, wife & 3 kids). I have a job offer in hand, salary-24000 AED/MONTH lumsum (without Accommodation) with basic medical insurance.
I would prefer to have a furnished 2 / 3 bedroom apartment, normal car. Though I am a CANADIAN / PAKISTANI Citizen.
So, what are the monthly expenses towards medical insurance for the family, electricity, water, petrol/gas, grocery, cable connection, internet, entertainment, etc.
I want to live a normal life, not too much luxuries… since i have to support my family members (parents) in Pakistan. Could any body be kind enough to send me the details about it. I would really appreciate your immediate deep concern. Regards,

Hi, I am a 30 year old German, looking to relocate to Abu Dhabi with my husband who will start a job there. I was just wondering what it will be like. Can I do whatever I wish alone ? Like going to the gym, the mall, work, the beach, etc.? Can i purchase a car alone, take care of things without my husband? I heard that you have to cover your tatoos. Is that true? I have tatoos on my shoulders and my husband has a full sleeve…Also I wondered if we can live somewhat good on 30,000 AED a month? Lots of questions, but time is pushing and I am wondering….Any answers are appreciated….

I searched all the yahoo answers and find the answer that “it depends on the individual” But my question is more specific. I wont spent that much like a lavish guy. 26 age single. And also I like to know the equal value of AED 3500 in indian rupees. ie., how much value of money I will be getting when I choose the job in india.
Another thing is I came to know that its really hard to get a room for staying these days. How much for a single bachelor in a share space. Thanks in advance.

hi every1, m goin 2 abu dhabi wit ma husband this august. he has already got a job wchich will earn around 15000 AED per month. I m a cemmerce graduate and hv done several computer courses. i hv knowledge of office automation, C, HTML,Access,Tally and web page designing….Here in India i m working in a school as a computer faculty since 3 years. shall i get a job there?? will my experience in teaching will b counted?

Hi, I have got an offer from Abu Dhabi. They offered me salary AED 7500 / per month, Housing allowance AED 5500/ per month and some medical,no transport accomodation, 30 days vacation with ticket for me and my wife to france per year. Is this amount good enough to live for two people in Abu Dhabi? How much cost of living can expect in Abu Dhabi? Can we save money and how much?
For your information we are French couple and I am fresh master graduate in environment, this is my first job.
Our life style is medium, sometimes restaurant swimming pool, gym, entertainment… we think make our shopping(foods…) in Carrefour…
I hope that all this details gave an idea about our life style therefore can I accept this offer?

which 1 would u choose..?
my yearly salary from private firm in abu dhabi is 53,550/= AED
and been offered a job in 1 of the biggest Goverment firm in Abu dhabi they offer 42,000 AED
wat a the benefits when workin with gerverment apart fom there good timing working hours and 5 workin days.
In Private company now 4yr’s got salary raise twice
they offer Air ticket and house allowance (both companies)
