    Yeah its harmful. When giving CPR it often results in a couple of broken ribs, which in the case of a person not breathing, is a risk willing to be taken rather then losing their life. Other than broken ribs, it could internally hurt the person

    Absolutely. Do not do this on a person that is not in distress. You can break their ribs and interfere with their heart beat.

    Definitely there is a reason that CPR is taught using dummies you can mess with that persons heart rhythm do not do it !!!
