I used an online service.
I used http://nationalcprcertification.com/.
There are several online classes. Just make sure they are national accepted.
Hope this helps.

The Red Cross use to have certification classes and often hospitals offer it .
Call Human Resources at the hospital and ask when they offer the CPR class or try the Red Cross .
If they no longer do , they may know who does .
good luck

American Heart Association used to offer CPR classes. Also many fire departments do/did. The problem is that these classes were normally free or of minimal cost. But some people saw a way to make money teaching the classes and have convinced the private enterprise is always best folk that fire department taught classes were somehow competing with private enterprise and this was bad. The result is that now throughout much of the country classes are no longer offered by the fire service and are being taught by private companies for a lot more money.
One more thing before I get off the soapbox. Please remember this the next time one of your city's activist say that the fire fighters don't do anything except sit in their stations and that the fire service would be better handled by a private company. This was tried in this country in the early days and after a lot of things burned down and people died we have the present system of government run fire departments

Call back and find out what kind of certification they require. In general, you either need 'layperson CPR' or a more advanced course like the Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers or some of the BLS courses from the Heart Association. Also find out who they accept certificates from.
The Red Cross in most communities offers the most classes with the easiest access, but the Heart Association offers the more professional programs usually. You can often even take classes from the National Safety Council, etc.
Do not do an on-line course unless you are sure the hospital will accept it, no matter what the on-line people promise.
