		<description>That should be good for 3 years.  Check on your card it should give the expiration date or when you need to recertify.  Also when you go in for your CPR/AED ask the instructor.  Good luck</description>

		<description>At the YMCA where I work in northwestern PA all the staff is required to retake their BloodBorne every year.  We make it a quick renewal course and everyone comes and takes it.  It&#039;s jsut a few T/F so its not a big deal.  I wasn&#039;t required to have it as a lifegaurd specifically (at least I don&#039;t think so) but as an employee of the Y.</description>

		<description>I am also a lifeguard. Life guarding certifications are good for three years and your CPR-PR is good for a year. I would suggest calling your local red cross branch to ask how often you have to challenge your blood borne pathogens test. No you don&#039;t need it to continue being a lifeguard. I am not blood borne pathogens certified..we learned about it during our course. However, i am CPR-PR and AED certified. Call your local Red Cross :)</description>
