Algebra Question, Please Help Me!?

Get your pencil and pad ready.
Lines AB and CD intersect at E, and the measure of angle AED= 110 degrees, the measure of angle DEB= (3x+2y) degrees, the measure of BEC= (9x+y) degrees, and the measure of CEA= 70 degrees. Find the values of x and y.
Thanks, and can you please show me the algebraic solution you used? :D

    110+3x+2y=180
    3x+2y=70
    70+9x+y=180
    9x+y=110
    y=110-9x
    sub this into the first equation
    3x+2(110-9x)=70
    3x+220-18x=70
    -15x=-150
    x=10
    so y=110-9(10)=20
