The techniques for CPR are divided into Infant (0-1 year old), Child (1-12 years old, or 8 in some programs), and Adult after that.
The techniques for a child are VERY different than those for an infant. Checking for consciousness, head tilt, depth of compression, hand placement, pulse location, seal for mouth-to-mouht, etc. change as we move from the infant to the child.
Besides, most CPR cards are only good for a year in the US- time to retake it!
